Even with all of the fun activities we did and places we went throughout the week, I think Austin’s most favorite thing of all was my iPhone!

He quickly became infatuated with watching the videos I took of him. I scrolled through them, it wasn’t long before he grabbed the iPhone and was swiping his finger to go back and forth, and clicking play on the one he wanted to see! I didn’t have to show him, he just picked it up from watching me. Again, one smart cookie.  I think we’ve already turned him into an iPhone fanboy.

Both kids enjoyed storytime with Grandma and Grandpa!

When we were kids, we had this memory game called “Pizza Party”. Our game was long-ago destroyed, but my Mom recently found an old version of it on eBay. She brought it along, so we indoctrinated the Gill kids in the Pizza Party world! Austin was having fun, as usual!

Gee, I wonder where Austin gets his goofy faces from? I guess it’s Mommy… (and maybe a little bit of Aunt Jacki) ;)

And just like that, our week-long staycation extravaganza came to an end. It was great to get to spend time with my side of the family and make some good memories.

Hopefully someday we’ll have kids of our own to do these things with, but for now, we love just being called Aunt and Uncle!
