It’s been almost 2 months, and I realized I never wrote a recap of the Cherry Point Sprint Triathlon on May 30. We weren’t there to try to win, but man we sure had fun! Our team name was “Team S-P-S” (I wasn’t feeling too creative on registration day).
John swam 400 meters, Ann biked 10 miles, and I ran 3.1 miles (with John beside me). I’m not sure what the breakouts were, but we finished with a total time of 1:18:51. Amazingly enough, I was the “veteran” for this race. John had never swam in a race before, nor had Ann ever biked a race. But this was my third 5K race. I was still pretty nervous, though. I’m guessing that must never go away.
Participation medals! I was obviously excited about this. :)
