Just finished my second-ever full 3 mile run. The last one I did was almost a month ago, and it took me a ridiculously long 40 minutes. Today, I managed to finish it in under 36 minutes!
It definitely helped that John was there to help me keep pace. Running is so mental for me (as for most people), and “chasing” him really improves my performance without even realizing it.
I always feel guilty for making him slow down so much for me to follow, but eventually I’ll make it up to a pace where he’s at least more comfortable, although I’ll likely never be able to really challenge him. (He ran a single fastest-mile by himself after our 3 miles – he finished in 6:17. Yowsa!)

Congrats, Jackson! Maybe I will be motivated to actually work out once baby girl Gill is here. :)

Sounds like fun! If I can do it, literally anyone can. You've always been way more naturally athletic than me! We'll have to go together during my visits while John's in Iraq. :)
